Hi people!

I’m Jolene and I’m a year 2 Biomedical Engineering undergraduate taking a minor in Life Sciences. I’ve been interested in tissue engineering and cell/gene therapy since it was introduced to me by my secondary school biology teacher. I find it fascinating to imagine “reprogramming” the very database embedded in our own human cells!

I am planning to take my PhD following my undergraduate studies and possibly pursue a career in academia or R&D in the private sector. I have taken the Undergraduate Research Opportunities Programme (UROP) in NUS under Prof Andy Tay and am writing a review on transfection past the cell wall with one of his master students.

Do feel free to chat me up about tissue engineering, biological engineering and research!
