My name is Jie Jun and I am a year 3 undergraduate majoring in Environmental Engineering under Engineering Scholars Programme. I am currently in my final year taking my Final Year Project and also pre-taking graduate modules to clear my requirements when I enroll for MSc Environmental Engineering.

I am deeply passionate about the environment and and have pursued Environmental Management and Water Technology back in polytechnic. Intrigued by the different technologies to solve environmental problems such as water, land and air pollution, I decided to deepen my knowledge in this field by enrolling in this course to better prepare myself for workforce.

As part of Vacation Internship Programme (VIP), I have served my internship with my sponsoring organization, Singapore Technologies Engineering, during Year 1 where I worked on the Integrated Waste Management Facilities (IWMF) project. During the 3 months stint, I was exposed to the technical aspects of waste minimization and energy and resource recovery via the use of innovative environmentally-friendly technologies. The experience proved to be a fruitful one as it has deepened my understanding on the topics and further captivated me to work towards my goal of becoming an environmental engineer to contribute to a sustainable future.

Feel free to connect with me to discuss any environmental engineering related topics!
