I am Benjamin Chua, a year 3 undergraduate majoring in Chemical Engineering. During my time in NUS, I have joined several academic and non-academic projects to explore the different opportunities available. During my first year in NUS, I was part of Project Cheway, a student-led overseas service-learning project to assist the villagers in Tra Vinh, Vietnam in constructing toilets and water filtration systems. I believe this project trained me to be proficient in building toilets (do not contact me to build your toilet).
Additionally, I joined the undergraduate research opportunity programme during my second year of university. Through this programme, I have developed my interest in the pharmaceutical industry such as the development of drugs. To deepen my interest and gain industrial experience in the relevant industry, I joined MSD for my industrial attachment as a PTO Engineer Intern.
Apart from my academic related experiences, my interests include both computer and mobile games such as Brawl Stars and Maplestory (feel free to add me as friend in these games, but don’t blame me if we lose).
I feel that university is a great place to develop both my academic knowledge and gaming skills through practices and friends. So feel free to contact me if you have any non-academic questions!
